1. Who We Are

worthmap.com is run by HK Managed Services Provider Limited, Unit 2A, 17/F, Glenealy Tower, No.1 Glenealy, Central, Hong Kong.

This policy covers the website only. The net worth tracker at my.worthmap.com is a separate service with its own account, and its own privacy documents can be found there.

2. What the Website Does Not Collect

• There are no accounts and no logins on this website, and we keep no database of visitors.
• The calculators do their arithmetic in your browser. The figures you type are not sent to us and are not saved: when you close the page, they are gone.
• There are no advertising scripts on this website.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.

3. What Stays in Your Browser

The website keeps a few things in the local storage of your own browser. They stay on your device and are not sent to us:

• Language: the language you chose for the website.
• Theme: light or dark.
• Cookie choice: whether you accepted or rejected analytics.
• Comments: the name and text you type in the comment box under an article. Other visitors do not see them.

You can remove all of it at any time by clearing the site data for worthmap.com in your browser.

4. Services That Receive Data

The website relies on a few outside services. Each one receives only what it needs for its job:

• Cloudflare: hosts the website, so it receives the IP address and browser details that every page request carries.
• Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity: only if you press Accept in the cookie banner (see Section 7). They record which pages are visited and how they are used.
• Mailchimp: only if you type your email address into a "Notify Me" form. It keeps the address so that we can send you the updates you asked for.
• exchangerate-api.com: supplies exchange rates to the currency exposure calculator. Your browser asks it for the rates directly, so it sees that request and your IP address, but not the figures you type.

These companies may process data in countries other than Hong Kong or the one you live in.

We share data with anyone else only when the law requires it.

5. How Long Data Is Kept

• Your email address stays on the Mailchimp list until you unsubscribe, using the link in any email we send, or ask us to remove it.
• Analytics data is kept by Google and Microsoft for the period their services set, and then deleted.
• An email you send us stays in our mailbox for at most 12 months, and we delete it sooner if you ask us to.
• What is stored in your browser stays there until you clear it.

6. Security

worthmap.com is served over HTTPS, so what your browser sends to the website travels encrypted. No way of sending data over the internet is completely secure.

7. Cookies

The website itself sets no cookies. The only cookies come from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity:

• Before you choose: a banner asks every visitor to choose. Nothing from the two services loads until you press Accept.
• If you press Reject: they are not loaded.
• Changing your choice: clear the site data for worthmap.com in your browser and the banner will ask you again.

8. Your Rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you can withdraw your consent to analytics or to our emails at any time. These rights come from the privacy law of Hong Kong and, if you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, from the GDPR.

Write to [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live, or in Hong Kong to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.

9. Children's Privacy

The website is not meant for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

The website links to other websites, including my.worthmap.com. This policy covers worthmap.com only; other websites have their own policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page.
